Solas-Raleigh, NC

One of the most unique buildings in the Glenwood South district of Raleigh is Solas. You can’t miss the LED lighting outside and the illuminated sign. Stop by and check out our work inside!

Niall Hanley, owner of Hibernian Pub (one on Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh and the other in Cary), contacted us as he started building concept Solas. If you haven’t been there yet, you have to get out more often. It is the glowing 3 story building beside Armadillo Grill on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. We actually installed the LED “wash” lights on the outside of the building which can make the entire building change color with the touch of the remote control.

Lighting & Sound System

For the inside, no expense was spared for the sound and lighting system. We hung a huge rectangular truss over the glass (yes, I said glass) dance floor. The truss made by Global Truss supports all of the lighting by Elektralite and Martin. For the speakers, we used JBL’s top of the line VRX Series. This is one of the few places in NC with this setup. The speakers are small and compact, but they GET DOWN! The DJ booth is outfitted with the latest gear from Pioneer Pro DJ and of course Rane’s amazing program Serato. We used QSC PLX amps to power the VRX’s.

This install was very time consuming, but the end result was well worth it. I’m telling you, you have got to make it a point to get by Solas!
