Busy Bee Cafe/The Hive - Raleigh, NC

Check out the bar/cafe/restaurant is the Busy Bee Cafe and its upstairs, The Hive. It is located on Wilmington St. downtown right beside Slim’s. Woody Lockwood and Chris Powers have created an amazing place.

I have worked with these guys for many years when they were with Rocky Top Hospitality. I was very excited to hear that they were opening their own place. We were lucky to get in at the perfect time and develop the system from the ground up. Downstairs we did 6 JBL Control 28’s with QSC amps. Upstairs we did the same, but added a much bigger system for the bands and DJs that they will have there. We used QSC amps and EAW speakers with a Yamaha mixer to give the stage the right sound. Once again, we used the dbx zonepro 1260 to control the different zones-cafe, restaurant, and mezzanine. The place sounds amazing. You gotta get down to the Bee and check it out!
