Buku-Raleigh, NC

Buku labels itself “Global Street Food”, but they also have some killer music. On any given night you might see a DJ playing international beats, live bands, or even a sitar player!

Sean Degnan and several other former Hi5/Red Room employees called us just before opening Buku (at the old location of Fins in downtown Raleigh) because they needed a sound system. This is a really gorgeous restaurant and the bar has a portable stage for all of the DJs and musicians that come through. We installed a mobile system including a mono sub and 2 15” high end cabinets with 2 floor monitors and a Mackie mixer. As usual, we used QSC amps to power the rig. This small system is perfect for the area and all of the acts sound great, plus they don’t need an in-house sound engineer.
